  • The medical monitoring and alerting provided by the PARACHUTE app does not imply it is to be relied upon for any treatment purposes.

  • This app is not intended to be used as a substitute for professional diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. You should consult your physician or other qualified health care provider regarding any specific medical questions you may have and you should never disregard professional advice or delay in seeking treatment only based on the information contained in this app.

  • The PARACHUTE app, although useful for rapid alert and dispatch of rescue service, is not to be considered a medical device, since it uses a bluetooth smart heart rate monitor -a fitness-dedicated device-and a smartphone; the app can only confer additional automatic detection and alerting capability in case of cardiac arrest during outdoor fitness or sports activity. The final outcome of a cardiac arrest is obviously determined by many other variables and is not necessarily modified by this app.

  • The PARACHUTE app expressly disclaims responsibility, and shall have no liability, for any damages, loss, injury, or liability whatsoever suffered as a result of your unique reliance on this App and also when caused by any malfunction of involved devices, either the bluetooth heart rate monitor or the smartphone.

  • The PARACHUTE app expressly disclaims responsibility in case of indoor usage of the app, such as in any activity performed in gyms (treadmill running), due to significant body motion being inherently key in the ardiac arrest system used by PARACHUTE app.

  • The PARACHUTE app does not work if cell-phone coverage for data (2G,3G,4G) and hence internet access, is not present, since the outgoing SMS alert relies on a web-based system.

  • The PARACHUTE app does not take any legal responsibility for misuse of the app itself out of cell coverage zones of the specific carrier used by the subject.

  • If you do not agree to the foregoing terms and conditions, you should not use this application.

  • All contents of this app are protected by copyright. All other rights are reserved. Users are not permitted to modify, distribute, publish, transmit, or create derivative works of any material found on this app for any public or commercial purpose.

  • PARACHUTE shall have no responsibility for any damage to your phone or tablet or loss of data that results from your use of the app or its content.

  • PARACHUTE does not warrant that use of the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the app or the server(s) that makes the app available are free of viruses or other harmful components. while PARACHUTE endeavors to ensure that the app is normally available 24 hours each day, parachute shall not be liable if for any reason the app is unavailable at any time or for any period. access to the app may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for any other reasonable cause, or if the PARACHUTE-app srl company for any reason goes out of business.   • PARACHUTE shall not be liable for any damages that result from your reliance on the content of the app. by downloading and using this app, you agree to hold harmless PARACHUTE and each of its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, liabilities, judgments and settlements, including without limitation, from any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive or any other claim you may incur in connection with your use of this app, including, without limitation, any economic harm, lost profits, damages to business, data or phone systems, or any damages resulting from reliance on any content or resulting from any interruptions, work stoppages, phone or tablet failures, deletion of files, errors, omissions, inaccuracies, defects, viruses, delays or mistakes of any kind, even if you have previously advised PARACHUTE of the possibility of such claim.
